Holiday Ornament 2015

Don’t miss out!  Complete your MPD Holiday Ornament series with our ornament for 2015.

The 2015 Metropolitan Police Department of Washington, DC ornament features the iconic Pulitzer Prize winning photograph by Daily News reporter Bill Beall of MPD’s own Private Maurice J. Cullinane, bending down to speak with 2-year old Allen Weaver on the street, reminding all of us of the kindness and community spirit of our officers. Private Cullinane went on to become Chief of Police from 1974-1978.

The original black and white photograph is surrounded by a silver wreath adorned with laurel branches with words “DC Police Memorial and Christmas 2015” inset in black around the edge of the ornament.

Each donation supports the construction of a fitting memorial to honor the sacrifices of the men and women of the Metropolitan Police Department of Washington, DC, who have been killed in the line of duty.

Help us honor their memory and show your support for our officers.
